Each piece is developed individually according to the client’s measurements, desired length, density, texture, color, lifestyle, and aesthetic.

No mass-produced finished look. No one-size-fits-all transformation.

Why Raw Hair?

Raw hair is human hair that has not undergone the extensive chemical and cosmetic processing commonly used to create uniform commercial hair.

Levels By Lia prioritizes single-donor raw hair, allowing the natural characteristics of the donor’s hair to remain intact rather than blending numerous donors together to manufacture uniformity.

This means natural variation can exist between bundles—and that is part of working with genuine raw hair.

For custom color work, carefully selected raw hair also provides Levels By Lia with a more controlled foundation for testing and transformation.

Every batch is evaluated individually.

Raw does not mean invincible.

It is still human hair, and its integrity will always take priority over forcing it to achieve a result it cannot safely support.

The Consultation

Every Custom Raw Hair project begins with a private consultation.

We will discuss your:

• Desired cut and silhouette
• Length and density
• Texture
• Color direction
• Hairline and parting preferences
• Fit and measurements
• Styling preferences
• Lifestyle and intended wear
• Maintenance expectations

Inspiration photographs are welcome, but they are treated as creative direction rather than guarantees of exact duplication.

Remote consultations are available.

Once the design and specifications have been established, Levels By Lia will determine the appropriate hair, foundation, materials, and technical process required to create the piece.

Hair Selection

Hair is selected specifically for the commission rather than chosen solely according to a photograph or generic texture label.

Natural raw hair may contain subtle variations in wave pattern, color, strand diameter, or behavior because it has not been manufactured to create artificial uniformity.

When multiple bundles are required, Levels By Lia will source and evaluate hair with the finished design in mind.

The objective is not artificial sameness.

It is cohesion.

Testing & Color

When custom color is requested, the hair may undergo professional testing before the complete color process begins.

Depending on the design, this may include strand testing, controlled lightening assessment, elasticity and integrity evaluation, and examination of how the hair responds throughout processing.

Not every batch of hair will behave identically, and not every requested shade can be achieved safely.

Very pale blondes, silver, pastel, neon, and other high-lift results may require significant decolorization. If achieving a requested color would compromise the integrity of the hair, Levels By Lia may recommend an alternative approach.

Healthy, beautiful hair takes priority over chasing a level number.

Construction & Customization

A Custom Raw Hair piece is more than premium hair attached to a foundation.

Depending on the commission, customization may include:

Measurements & Fit

Accurate measurements are essential for custom construction.

Clients will receive measurement instructions when required and are responsible for submitting accurate measurements. Remote clients may be asked to provide photographs or additional information to assist with fit and design decisions.

Because custom pieces are created according to individual specifications, fit concerns resulting from inaccurate measurements may require additional alteration charges.

Your final quote will be provided after consultation and design planning, before production begins.

Changes requested after the specifications have been approved may result in additional charges and extended turnaround.

Turnaround

Custom Raw Hair pieces typically require approximately 6–10 weeks once the design, measurements, payment, hair sourcing, and specifications have been finalized.

Complex color, specialty sourcing, extensive customization, or highly technical construction may require additional time.

Turnaround estimates do not include shipping transit and are not guaranteed delivery dates.

Clients purchasing for an event, performance, photoshoot, travel date, or other deadline must disclose that date before booking.

Rush availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.

Care & Longevity

A custom raw-hair piece is an investment and should be treated accordingly.

Clients will receive care recommendations appropriate to their finished piece. Product selection, cleansing, heat use, storage, detangling, chemical services, and everyday handling can all affect longevity.

Raw hair remains human hair. It requires maintenance, conditioning, protection, and appropriate handling to perform at its best.

Longevity will vary according to wear frequency, maintenance, styling practices, chemical processing, and individual use.
